Meet Our Team — Oscar Rodriguez, CEO

Oscar is an IT professional with over 20 years of experience in programming and development, project management, and automation. He has a degree in Computer Science and a master’s in Management Information Systems from Florida State University. Throughout his career, he has learned several programming languages including Java, SQL, R, and SAS for data analytics. He has been an avid crypto investor since 2015.

Favorite Food: Italian.

Hobbies: He loves playing guitar, singing, math, and watching sports like football and basketball. His favorite teams are the NY Giants and the NY Knicks.

Fun fact: Oscar is an ordained minister and has officiated wedding ceremonies.

Why did you decide to start CFLO?

I remember buying my wife a floral arrangement that she absolutely loved. As beautiful and expensive as it was, it was in the garbage within 10 days. One day, in speaking with our group, I loved the idea of making a floral arrangement timeless. I realized that all the arrangements add up, over time, to a substantial investment of which now we only have memories. ChainFlowers solves the issue of perishable gifts. Now, flowers are forever. Blockchain is revolutionizing the way we conduct business. It is secure, transparent, traceable, and efficient. It contains all the elements necessary to trace energy. It can provide assurance that the energy being used is renewable energy, for example, by tracing its roots to its origin, and guaranteeing that it is, in fact, renewable energy. ChainFlowers looks to reduce the human carbon footprint by utilizing blockchain technology to guarantee planting of trees is traceable and transparent.
